Water Emergencies
Most people who call us are not searching for a restoration company. They are searching for whatever is happening in their house right now: a brown ring on the ceiling, a warm patch on the floor, water coming out of a vent. These pages are written for that moment. Each one tells you what to do in the first ten minutes, what is probably causing it, and what a proper repair actually involves.
Pick the one that sounds like your house
Not sure which one it is?
That is normal, and it is worth a few minutes rather than a guess, because a roof leak, a condensate overflow and a failed supply line all look identical from underneath and none of them are fixed the same way. Start with the spreading ceiling stain page. The pencil-and-date test on it costs nothing and narrows the answer down in about a day.
Or call and describe it. We would rather spend ten minutes on the phone telling you that you need a plumber, a roofer or an air conditioning technician than turn up and charge you to find that out.
